A cloistered nun in Salamanca has drawn international attention after eyewitnesses reported seeing her suspended several inches above the ground during prayer. Sister Inés, 82, was in deep meditation when fellow sisters said they felt “a presence of overwhelming peace” before seeing her rise.
Vatican representatives have been dispatched to investigate. Meanwhile, people are flocking to the convent chapel, lighting candles and leaving prayer requests. The nun has declined interviews, offering only: “I belong to Christ, not to cameras.”
