In a poetic twist of fate, a baby girl was born during a sudden power outage in Bethlehem’s main maternity ward. Born by candlelight, her mother named her Tikvah — Hebrew for “Hope.” Nurses said the delivery was calm and effortless, with a midwife describing a “gentle silence in the room.”
The hospital has since been flooded with letters and donations for the family. Local priests have blessed the child, calling her “a light born into darkness.”
