London, UK — The British Museum has unveiled a monumental exhibit celebrating the Bible’s impact on world history and culture. Titled “The Word Across the Ages,” the exhibit showcases some of the most significant biblical manuscripts, including fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls, a 4th-century Codex Sinaiticus, and a Gutenberg Bible.
“This exhibit highlights the enduring legacy of the Bible, which has shaped civilizations, inspired art and literature, and offered hope to billions,” said curator Dr. Evelyn Richards.
The exhibit also features rare translations of the Bible into indigenous languages, reflecting its role in spreading literacy and cultural preservation. Interactive displays allow visitors to explore how the Bible was written, copied, and distributed throughout history.
The highlight of the exhibit is a digital reconstruction of how ancient scribes painstakingly created illuminated manuscripts, offering a hands-on experience for visitors.
