Manila, Philippines — A Christian youth movement in the Philippines is inspiring a new generation to take action on environmental issues through faith-based initiatives. The group, “Faith for Earth,” has launched campaigns to address deforestation, plastic pollution, and climate change.
Members of the movement regularly organize tree-planting events, coastal cleanups, and workshops on sustainability. They also incorporate biblical teachings about stewardship and caring for God’s creation into their activities.
“Our faith compels us to care for the earth and protect it for future generations,” said Maria Santos, a 22-year-old activist and leader in the movement.
Since its founding, the group has planted over 100,000 trees and has successfully lobbied for stricter environmental protections in local communities.
