Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — A Christian charity, “Stewards of Creation,” has reached an inspiring milestone by planting one million trees across drought-affected regions in Africa. The initiative, launched three years ago, aims to combat desertification, restore ecosystems, and provide sustainable livelihoods for local communities.
Volunteers, including church groups and local families, have worked tirelessly to plant indigenous tree species that are resilient to the harsh climate. The project also includes educational workshops on sustainable agriculture and water conservation.
“This is a testament to what faith-driven action can achieve,” said Rev. Daniel Tesfaye, the charity’s director. “We are fulfilling our calling to care for God’s creation.”
