Kabul, Afghanistan — In the face of immense challenges, a Christian charity has successfully launched an initiative to build schools for girls in remote regions of Afghanistan. Operating in secrecy to avoid backlash, the program has constructed six schools since 2022, providing education to over 2,000 young girls.
The schools teach a blend of literacy, mathematics, and life skills, while also subtly incorporating messages of hope and resilience drawn from Christian teachings.
“We believe that empowering girls through education is one of the greatest ways to demonstrate Christ’s love in action,” said Pastor David Martinez, the program’s coordinator.
Despite the risks, the initiative has received support from local communities, with many families expressing gratitude for the opportunity to educate their daughters.
