As fire crews rushed monks to safety during a wildfire in Colorado Springs, one monk noticed the monastery’s ancient Bible was open — despite having been locked in a glass case. The page displayed Psalm 91: “You will not fear… the fire that consumes.”
The fire stopped just short of the building. Monks have since reopened the chapel to the public for weekly readings of Psalm 91.
