Jakarta, Indonesia — A new digital Bible initiative is making scripture accessible to remote communities in Southeast Asia. The project, led by a Christian tech organization, uses solar-powered devices preloaded with the Bible in multiple languages, including rare indigenous dialects.
“We want everyone to have access to God’s Word, no matter where they live,” said John Tan, the project’s director.
The devices, which are waterproof and durable, have been distributed to over 100 villages so far. Local pastors report that the initiative has revitalized faith in their communities, as people who have never had access to the Bible are now engaging with scripture for the first time.
