Yerevan, Armenia — A 1,200-year-old Armenian church has been restored to its former glory after decades of neglect. The church, located in a remote mountain village, was at risk of collapse due to structural damage and erosion.
The restoration project, funded by international Christian organizations and the Armenian Apostolic Church, involved rebuilding the stone walls, restoring faded frescoes, and reinforcing the roof.
“This church is more than a building; it’s a testament to the endurance of faith,” said Father Aram Petrosyan, a local priest.
The reopening ceremony drew hundreds of visitors, with many participating in a special liturgy to celebrate the church’s revival.
