Global Christian Summit Advocates for Climate Action

Geneva, Switzerland — Over 2,000 Christian leaders from 150 countries gathered in Geneva for the first-ever Global Christian Summit on Climate Action. Held under the theme “Caring for Creation,” the summit addressed the urgent need for faith-based solutions to environmental crises.

The summit featured keynote speeches from theologians, environmental scientists, and church leaders, all emphasizing the moral imperative to protect the planet. Participants discussed practical initiatives such as renewable energy adoption, reforestation projects, and sustainable farming practices.

One major outcome was the signing of the “Green Faith Accord,” a document committing churches and Christian organizations to implement environmentally friendly policies. The accord also calls for faith communities to pressure governments to adopt stronger climate regulations.

“Protecting the environment is not just an ecological issue; it’s a spiritual one,” said Reverend Samuel Thompson. “Caring for creation is an act of worship and obedience to God.”
