A recent Pew Research Center study reveals a significant decline in Christian affiliation among residents of San Diego and California as a whole. In California, only 55% of adults now identify as Christian, down from 63% in 2014 and 71% in 2007. The trend is even more pronounced in San Diego County, where Christian identification has fallen from 68% in 2014 to 53% currently.
