Manaus, Brazil — A groundbreaking collaboration between Indigenous tribes and Christian leaders is revitalizing degraded areas of the Amazon rainforest. The project, named “Guardians of Creation,” aims to reforest over 10,000 acres of land while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Combining Indigenous ecological knowledge with Christian teachings on stewardship, the initiative has already planted over 500,000 trees, providing habitat for wildlife and restoring balance to the ecosystem.
“Caring for creation is both a sacred duty and a necessity for survival,” said Father Miguel Paredes, one of the project’s coordinators. The initiative also includes educational programs for local communities, emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.
