A team of Christian missionaries has launched an educational program in remote Ugandan villages, providing children with access to schooling for the first time. The initiative, called “Light of Learning,” is run by Christian volunteers who teach literacy, mathematics, and Bible studies to communities that lack formal education.
The project has already helped over 2,000 children enroll in makeshift classrooms built by missionaries and local volunteers. Many children in these regions previously had no access to education due to poverty and geographical isolation. The program also introduces biblical teachings, encouraging children to grow in both knowledge and faith.
“Education is a form of empowerment, and we believe that God’s love should be shared alongside knowledge,” said Pastor Samuel Okello, one of the initiative’s leaders. The project has received international support, with churches worldwide donating books, supplies, and scholarships to expand the mission further.
